For which is easier: to say, Your sins are forgiven and the penalty remitted, or to say, Get up and walk?

This is my verse for today. I thought I would share it with you.

He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

Isaiah 40:29,31 (AMP)

It’s not only God’s will to save us from sin. He also healed us. He gave us power and strength… He delivered us from our sin. “But to those that “wait” for the Lord…” He makes us whole…healing is a part of salvation.

LOOK UP THESE VERSES  (You won’t regret it! 🙂 ) –

  • Psalm 103:1-5
  • Psalm107: 17, 19-21
  • Isaiah 53:4-5
  • Jeremiah 17:14

The word salvation in Greek is- SOZO- meaning nothing broken, nothing missing.(Romans 1:16, Romans 10:10-13 for example)

“Your faith cannot operate beyond your knowledge of His Word.”

– Gloria Copeland

Notice it does not say we will not have times of feeling weak (faint and weary), or feeling worn out/exhausted  (no might). It says that as we expect, trust and rely on God,  look for find out what His word/promises are concerning our situation, and hope in Him, apply stand, receive, take what He says as the Truth. Our strength and power will be renewed.

Two things to always remember:

  • It is Gods will to heal and restore us.
  • Gods Word never fails.

For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

  Romans 10:10 (AMP)

Declaration/ConfessionSay it out loud and receive it!

*You give power to me when I am faint and weary. In my weakness, You increase strength in me.I wait for You [expect, look for, and hope in You] and You renew my strength and power. I will lift up with wings of strength and rise as an eagle. I shall run and not be weary, I shall walk and not faint or become tired.                                                                                         ( Isaiah 40:29, 13 personified)

For which is easier: to say, Your sins are forgiven and the penalty remitted, or to say, Get up and walk?
But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins and remit the penalty, He then said to the paralyzed man, Get up! Pick up your sleeping pad and go to your own house.
And he got up and went away to his own house.
Matthew 9:5-7 (AMP)

God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him.

2 Chronicles 16:9b  (Message Bible)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NKJV)

READ: Matthew 3:16-17, 4:1-11

Do you remember what you experienced when you received Jesus?

It has been forty years for me and I can still remember the relief and love I felt that day.

Have you ever been in a worship service or at a concert/meeting ,where the presence of God was Sooo strong you just wanted to stay there?

Several years ago my church had  concerts at our coffee house on Friday nights. We had local bands play,  sold espresso drinks and had ministry time at the end of the concert. There were several occasions when the presence of God was so strong I wanted to stay there all night.

Symbolically/spiritually-  we will see what happens when a person becomes born again.  Also there are seemingly endless amounts of truth in these verses, this is just a few of them! (With Gods word there is always more than meets the eye!)

It all started with

16 And when Jesus was baptized, He went up at once out of the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he [John] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him. 17 And behold, a voice from heaven said, This is My Son, My Beloved, in Whom I delight!

Matthew 3:16-17 (AMP)

When a person asks Jesus to be their Savior and Lord they are raised into a new life in God through Christ.

3 Are you ignorant of the fact that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
4 We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father, so we too might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life.
5 For if we have become one with Him by sharing a death like His, we shall also be [one with Him in sharing] His resurrection [by a new life lived for God].

Romans 6:3-5 (AMP)

The Holy Spirit comes and lives inside them (This is referred to as being “Born” of the spirit). God becomes their Father:

14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!

Romans 8:14-15 (AMP)

But look what happens next.

1 THEN JESUS was led (guided) by the [Holy] Spirit into the wilderness (desert) to be tempted (tested and tried) by the devil.2 And He went without food for forty days and forty nights, and later He was hungry.
3 And the tempter came………….

Matthew 4:1-3 (AMP)

Notice:  When we go without spending time regularly in Gods word it is the same as not eating! We get hungry(depleted) and that is when the “tempter” (devil) comes! He will always question your position(Who you are in Christ) and your authority (Jesus gave you His!)

“THEN” HAPPENS! Monday always follow Sunday, nighttime follows the day.

“Then” is after the music stops and everyone has gone home, the seats are empty and the lights are turned off.  When you are all alone and you start to get hungry

“Then” the tempter (the devil) comes..

Remember what God has promised (His Word concerning) you  and know you are NEVER alone ( I will not leave you orphans -Jesus). Know who you are in Christ when the devil starts questioning who you are with, “If you are...

The following are some scripture verses you need to affirm (write down, speak out loud, and say often) so you will be prepared when “the tempter comes”

39 And that through Him everyone who believes [who acknowledges Jesus as his Savior and devotes himself to Him] is absolved (cleared and freed) from every charge from which he could not be justified and freed by the Law of Moses and given right standing with God.

Acts 13:39 (AMP)

1 THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

Romans 8:1 (AMP)

17 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!

 2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP)

24 [All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,

Romans 3:24 (AMP)

1 THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Romans 5:1 (AMP)

Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.
For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39 (AMP)

16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever–
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
John 14:16-18 (NKJV)

When All Was Lost He Gave All!

Today I am going to share what I read in my email  from Kenneth Copeland today. I hope this blesses you as it did myself.

But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass…For if many died through one man’s falling away–his lapse, his offense–much more profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through…Jesus Christ, abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many.

Romans 5:15

“If you ever need someone to tell you how to turn things around, go to God. He’s an expert on the subject. He’s suffered more losses than anyone who’s ever lived.

Just think about it. He lost Lucifer, His top-ranked, most anointed angel. And He lost at least a third of His other angels as well when Lucifer fell. Then He lost the man and woman He had created; and because He’d given them dominion over the earth, when He lost them, He lost it too. Any way you figure it, that’s a lot of real estate down the drain!

Yet, in spite of all that, God is no loser. He’s the greatest winner of all time. Do you know why? Because He knows how to turn the losses around. He knows how to use the law of giving and receiving to transform losses into gains.

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over” (Luke 6:38).

Isn’t that staggering? He had every option that exists to choose from to redeem the things He’d lost. He had all wisdom and all power available to Him. Out of all that, the law of giving is what He chose to use.

He gave the most irreplaceable thing He had: His only Son. Then He backed that gift with His own faith. And when the law of giving and receiving had done its work, the Almighty Father God received not only His first begotten Son, but millions of other sons as well.

Don’t despair over your losses. Redeem them the same way God redeemed His. Give and put the most powerful principle in the universe to work for you.”

By Kenneth Copeland

Have you ever had a day when all you can think of is all the mistakes you have made?  Do you feel God is not answering you because He is angry with you! Are the only feelings you are experiencing  guilt and condemnation? If you have received Jesus as your Savior you must know that you may be hearing a lions roar!????????????????????????????????????????

8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
9 Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (AMP)

This verse clearly says that the devil is your enemy (He has come to “make, wage, declare war” against you!

17 So then the dragon was furious (enraged) at the woman, and he went away to wage war on the remainder of her descendants—[on those] who obey God’s commandments and who have the testimony of Jesus Christ [and adhere to it and bear witness to Him].

Revelation 12:17 (AMP)

One of the ways he does this is to imitate a “roaring lion”. ( a lion roaring [in fierce hunger]). So if he is imitating a lion roaring, who is he imitating? Why would he do this? What is the real reason for the Lion to roar?  Lets take a closer look.

In Revelation5:5 it calls Jesus the lion:

5 Then one of the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] said to me, Stop weeping! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root (Source) of David, has won (has overcome and conquered)! He can open the scroll and break its seven seals!

 Revelation 5:5 (AMP)

In nature the lion is called “king of the beast”. Here we see Jesus as the KING OF KINGS (The KING of everything)!

49 Nathanael answered, Teacher, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!

John 1:49 (AMP)

16 And on His garment (robe) and on His thigh He has a name (title) inscribed, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Revelation 19:16 (AMP)

41 And we indeed suffer it justly, receiving the due reward of our actions; but this Man has done nothing out of the way [nothing strange or eccentric or perverse or unreasonable].
42 Then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come in Your kingly glory!

Luke 23:41-42 (AMP)

Okay we see Jesus as the Lion and as the KING, but when and why does He (Jesus) roar?

12 The king’s wrath is as terrifying as the roaring of a lion, but his favor is as [refreshing as] dew upon the grass.

Proverbs 19:12 (AMP)

The devil “roars” he wants you to believe God is mad/upset at you because of sin. When Jesus our “Lion King” roars (releases His wrath), it is against our enemy the devil…

8 ….. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].

1 John 3:8b (AMP)

.., His favor He gives to those that are His.

5 I will be like the dew and the night mist to Israel; he shall grow and blossom like the lily and cast forth his roots like [the sturdy evergreens of] Lebanon.

Hosea 14:5 (AMP)

8 For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

Ephesians 2:8 (AMP)

When the devil “roars” he is trying to get us to believe God is mad at us, or He is punishing us for something we did wrong. Nothing could be farther from the truth. If we give in to the lie the devil is “roaring”, it leads to guilt and condemnation (he will “devour” us!).

To “Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times,” remember this:

  •  For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.

1 John 5:4 (AMP)

  • Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. 7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

Philippians 4:6-8 (AMP)

  • Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.

1 Peter 5:9 (AMP)
